Local youngsters commit to project
May 11th, 2007 by adminThis week, we had over
30 local young people book on to our week of community work which will take place this Summer.
The youngsters aged 13-24 all paid £35 each to sleep in a nearby Church building for 6 days in July 2007 and
make a positive affect on their community.
During the week, they will be mainly involved in social action
work, promoting the project ahead of its opening later in the year and volunteering to run a Childrens Club on the
neighbouring Hawbush Estate.
They will be painting, decorating, picking up litter, clearing gardens and
generally helping people for the whole week and it promises to be an amazing (and very tiring) few days.
