In the 18 months since we began fundraising for this project, we have been awarded £329,000 in grants which has allowed us to renovate our project building and begin the task of employing a Project Manager and Project Worker. All of the groups who have awarded us grants are listed below.

BIG Lottery: Reaching Communities Fund
This was our largest grant success to date and we received a Big Lottery Fund Grant for £200,000. This award was split between capital costs to complete the renovation of the building work and revenue costs to employ two people for a period of 5 years.

BIFFAWARD
We secured a large grant towards the renovation of the project building awarded by Biffaward, a multi-million pound environment fund managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT), which utilises landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services.
Clothworkers Foundation
We were able to fund the renovation of the rear of our project through a large grant awarded by the Clothworkers’ Foundation who aim through their funding to improve the quality of life, particularly for people and communities facing disadvantage.
The Wren Trust
We were able to renovate a large part of our project building thanks to a grant obtained through the Landfill Communities Fund of Waste Recycling Group (WRG) administered by the Environmental Body WREN

Lloyds TSB Foundation
One of our priorities was to find funding for salaries and we were able to do this with the support of the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales who part-funded a project worker for the first year of the project.

Local Network Fund
We are very grateful to the Local Network Fund who are managed by the Birmingham Foundation, and whose grant allowed us to purchase essential sporting and electrical equipment to engage local residents in the life of the project.
Brierley Hill Area Committee
The award given by the local area committee was for the building of a kitchen area to allow us to run training courses and deliver our Community Café, as well as a smaller food preparation area in the main room of the project to serve residents with during the day.
VCT Charitable Trust
We received a very generous grant towards the general running costs and delivery of this project
Worcestershire and Dudley Historic Churches Trust
This local Church trust awarded us a grant to complete the renovation of the rear of the Church building which will be used as a worship area for church members.
Allchurches Trust
We received a small grant from this trust who are the parent company of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc
