Jen’s Report – Youth Summer Activity Day

Jen and the team were busy with Summer activities with local youth – she writes:-
This summer we have seen the first youth activities happening between The Lookout Project and the BHP as we move towards the ‘official’ merger at the end of August!

We had 4 young people from the BHP C4C group and 7 young people from Pensnett and Brockmoor taking part.  As a group they worked hard undertaking groundwork and gardening in the morning followed by Pizza and Go-Karting afterwards, as a ‘thank you’ for their hard work.

Considering the on/off rain they didn’t complain about the challenging conditions much! They got stuck in and were able to see the difference their efforts made and were well pleased with what they achieved!

Several of the group had never been Go-Karting before, so it was really positive to see them develop their confidence as they got used to the karts and the track. By the end they were full of enthusiasm and appeared to really enjoy the whole experience.

The activities were financed through the Lottery’s Awards for All Funding secured by The Lookout Project.
