Round-Up of the Week – 24th February 2017

We are always looking for opportunities to hook up with people that ordinarily stay under the radar – the overlooked ones – people who, for one reason or another, find it difficult or no longer wish to engage or access services.  Over the last couple of weeks we have had invitations that give us the access to people, systems and opportunities for our clients- we have been shown a few doors we are required to push. Now it’s our responsibility to make the most of the opportunities and do the best we can with them.  Our team are willing to go the extra mile so we wait in anticipation and expectation for what is to come.

This week is one which has provided much to be thankful for!  I have a list that by no means is exhaustive but here goes…

THANK YOU to Yellow Ribbon for coming to train us on their system, we will try to get things right!

THANK YOU to Matt and the guys at Willowdean Farm for providing a wonderful space for our staff away day and for feeding us so well – our compliments to the chef – the scotch eggs and plum pudding were fantastic!

THANK YOU to Chris from OM UK Birmingham – an organisation working across the world to transform lives and communities – for taking the time to visit our drop in to see how we might work together.

THANK YOU for the nomination to receive support from ASDA Brierley Hill and to those who have already shopped and got your green tokens in our charity box. Please continue – your green tokens mean so much!!!

THANK YOU to Ann who has served at the project week in and week out.  She has done amazing work for us and now needs more time for family commitments.  THANK YOU Ann that you still want to be involved in a different way.

THANK YOU Julie for the invitation to talk about the project on the Beacon Talking Newspaper.

THANK YOU in all in advance that you will VOTE for South Street Baptist Church…. they have been nominated for the Bags of Help grant in association with Groundworks.  They are doing amazing work with the Graveyard to make it a wonderful and relaxing space and they have joined with the Friends of Marsh Park who are enthusiastically developing the field to the rear of the Project.

THANK YOU Ken for testing soil to see where trees and plants will grow best. Now it’s over to you PLEASE VOTE at your local TESCO Extra or Express store. VOTING OPEN 1st March!
