Frantic

When: Wednesdays 7:45pm – 8:45pm

What: Frantic are dance sessions where you can learn varied styles of dance. It’s a friendly and non competitive environment where you can progress at you own pace without intimidation or embarrassment. The session is for 7 – 17 year olds.

Mic Check

When: Wednesdays 7:45pm – 9:00pm

What: Mic Check is a session for MCing and Rap, The session is run by more local talent Mr FX and Frantic who between them have over twenty years experience. People coming to this session can grow in their ability no matter what level they class themselves at. More advanced or just starting out, makes no difference, we have a great structure to help anyone build their ability. These sessions will include:

  • Writing lyrics
  • Performing
  • Learning different styles from others

Silecta

When: Wednesday 7.45pm – 9.30pm

What: This is a DJing session run by a local talent who has built up a major reputation in the urban music world. Anyone can take part in these sessions; The sessions are free to all and are delivered step by step, resulting in satisfying results the very first time a person takes part. We use a mixture of decks, vinyl, CD and MP3 to provide a broad range of experience.

Can it

When: Wednesday 7.45 – 9.30pm

What: This is a graffiti session is run by a very experienced graffiti artist who has a massive portfolio of work under his belt which includes work for some huge companies we all know. People of very varied abilities engage in this session and really enjoy the results of their labour. We have seen some incredible art work done by the most unlikely of people. This session goes at the pace you want and is full of historical practical background on the origins of the art.
