A quick review of the last 3 months
Foodbank numbers: Oct – 122 adults + 83 Children – Nov – 139 adults + 66 Children – Dec – 1st – 13th – 70 adults + 20 Children
Overall that is exactly 500 food parcels been given out in 2 and half months, without December being finished yet that is sure to escalate with Christmas and New Year right around the corner! This shows a real need in our local community, so we can’t even think about the wider impact! The need is great!!
Graveyard – The Graveyard clear up team has done so much work but also developed a loyal team of volunteers who turn up every week.
Drop in: Myself (Thomas Unitt) and Stephanie Deakin have been coming to the drop in sessions on a Wednesday (as part of an internship which is joint with Walsall Studio School and Amblecote Christian Centre) and have taken the blog under our wing so the past few weeks blog have been written by us! We have a few comments of our time here over the past few weeks…
Stephanie Deakin: ” I have really enjoyed it, I feel a part of the Drop In sessions and have gone out of my comfort zone. Helping in the Food Bank has given me a different perspective”
Thomas Unitt : I have enjoyed my time at the BHP, because it has really opened my eyes to the people and needs of people who live just walking distance from me”
